Mariko Endo first came in to contact with the world of music and its instruments at the age of 4. Starting with the piano she gradually built her musical background until ten years later, at the age of fourteen, she made the transition to the saxophone.

After obtaining a Major Degree in Instrumental Music and Wind Instruments at the Osaka College of Music, she went on to debut as a professional musician fronting her band Funkick Deli at various Venues in and around the Osaka area.

In September 2008, Mariko released her first solo Album Life In The Sky. The album, a collection of both original and covered material was recorded and mixed over a week in June 2008. The CD was highly appreciated among fans in Funk-Fusion-Smooth Jazz circles.

The following year, 2009, saw Mariko's schedule teeming with activity and it would not be long until she could reap the fruits of all the hard work put in since her debut CD release.

In 2010, Mariko debuted internationally. The New Year was busy rehearsing and performing new material in preparation for Bangkok Jazz Festival. On March 13th the same year, billed as Mariko Endo Group she performed at the annual Bangkok Jazz Festival in Thailand.
